Give us a store and a hard working
crew and Best Buy and Plaid 19 will show you what they can do...
On Thursday, May 1, 2008, the Best Buy
(Va. Center Commons, Richmond, Va.) and the Plaid Racing hosted an Autism Awareness
fundraising event. All proceeds will be donated to the Hermie and Elliott
Sadler Foundation.
There was food and fun for all. From race cars to hot dogs and even sweet
treats, there was something for everyone, even the Geeks (Squad that is).
Best Buy even offered 10% off of items that Matthew selected throughout the store.
A special thanks goes out to all of the Best Buy administration and staff, the guys
from JGR and everyone else who made this event a huge success.
A second unscheduled event (well for us at least) was then held May 2nd at the Mechanicsville,
Va. location. Again the grill was fired up and the showcar polished with all
of the flare of the day before. While staying through qualifying at the track,
we need to thank those members of the Plaid that left as soon as the 19 cleared
the track to help wrap up the second event.
We again thank all of the administration and staff of this location as well for
an outstanding effort.
Be watching, there are already several upcoming BBY and Plaid 19 future events in
the works.
